Bedlam Farm, as I first saw it. And new notecards

Bedam Farm, as I first saw it

This is the spot where I first looked up and saw Bedlam Farm. I never saw the farmhouse, but called the realtor up and made an offer. Two months later, Rose and I moved in. (Orson, too.) The rest, as they say, is…well, the rest. Christine Nemec of the Redux Gallery in Dorset, Vt., reports that she now has the new Bedlam Farm totecards for Spring – flowers, chickens, eggs.  They are available for sale, and she will have photos up on her website shortly, and I will pick some up tonight and put up some photos tomorrow.

I am glad many people badgered me about notecards for so long. People like them and can afford them and it’s a great use of my photography.

When your heart swells

Maria and Frieda
Maria and Frieda

Something about Maria and Frieda makes my heart swell, because Maria is so full of love, and that is so evident in any relationship with a dog. While I take photos in the woods, Maria sat down with Frieda and I looked up and saw the two of them, and I wanted to cry, because my own heart swelled with love and appreciation. I am blessed, and I never foget it.

Izzy in the woods. Moving On

Izzy always manages to keep an eye on me. Out in the woods, as I was taking photos of a stone wall, he popped up to see what I was doing. He’s like Waldo. Beautiful day in Bedlam.

I continue to get messages about staying on the farm or leaving it. I got one neat message from Ledge, who said succinctly. “I feel you have a change to start over with a partner. Sell the farm.” Something to think about.
