Dandelions in flight. Wulf Howling

Dandelions evolve

I walked passed a dandelion field, which was yellow just yesterday, and now, in a gentle breeze, the dandelion was giving itself up, letting its seeds sail off into the ether. I thought of Maria when I saw this, and grabbed the camera. She is changing her name from Maria Heinrich to Maria Wulf. She is getting married. She has put up a spanking new website for her quilts, bags and potholders, www.fullmoonfiberart.com. She is finding her art and her voice.

She is evolving to say the least, finding her voice, letting the inner spirits go free, and living her life.  I had a voice, but had lost myself. We helped each other to get found.

Thanks to those of you who offered solutions to my dilemma of what to call Maria after we are married. Upstate, men refer to their brides as “the wife” but that wouldn’t work for me. I liked having a girlfriend, so somebody suggested calling her “my girl.” I like that.

Maria has a page up called “Wulf Howling” a literal expression of her voice. I like that too.
