Came back from a walk and saw the dogs lined up in the morning light. Yelled for them to stay and grabbed the zoom lens, the 300 mm. Loved the light and the peacefulness.

I’m on a kick to take photos that are different – not only cute animals and beautiful old barns, but the shapes and images and colors of my real life – of our real lives. Looking differently at different things. I saw these garbage cans lined up in my hard, and I loved the way the light was hitting them. Are they beautiful? Can garbage cans be beautiful? I think so.

I woke up to the news in my front yard, which is that life is challenging, life is good, life is unpredictable. I want to make my own news. Today officially kicks off my book tour. Nice but what is really important is that I like the book, and I do like this one.
