Hey, Bubble Forth

by Jon Katz
Bubble Forth

The literal translation of the hebrew word for prophet is “bubble forth,” to spill over with water, cleansing, baptising, spread truth and refreshing. I am no prophet, but I welcome and embrace the notion of bubbling forth, sharing what I feel, searching for truth, learning to deal with fear, anger, the prophesies of doom that drown our spiritual lives and choke our sense of hope. Sharing the dark thoughts with the light and beauty in the world. This blog embodies the ancient idea of bubbling forth. So do words, photographs, ideas.  I love that idea.

My wish for myself – for you – is to bubble forth. When you are discouraged. When you are confronted with angry and selfish people. When you struggle to be generous, to find love, to live your life. I am bubbling forth to New York City for a couple of days. Wherever you are, I hope you are bubbling forth yourself.
