We made it back to the farm, a day-long trek that began in San Francisco in the morning and ended up at Bedlam Farm after midnight. The dogs were happy to see us, vice versa. A mountain of chores, calls, bills, tasks, decisions. In a sense a book tour is an escape from the world – one is simply too busy to deal with life. Life is patient, waiting. It doesn't go away. Off to the new farm to connect with Ben and check on the work being done there. This morning, the donkeys were waiting for us by the barn door.
