We got up early to do the morning chores, just as the sun rose over the apple tree. The photo was in shadow, I used a program called the Detail Extractor to pull up the elements that are in the photograph – it is not doctored, just rescued. It gives the scene a painting kill of feel it captures the spiritual aspect of loving animals.

I spent the morning at the veteran’s home where Red and I will be doing our therapy work. Always sobering, always exciting to begin this kind of work. Many dog lovers there we spent some time in the dementia unit, many conversations about dogs. I think we will be going on Thursday or Friday.
