The afternoon light caught our pasture fence and the old tin bucket, the oldest thing we ever found at the first Bedlam Farm, I was pleased to bring it to the new farm, there was so much happening in this photo, it just spoke of the heart of any farm – the pasture fence.

Two Lambs Grazing: Photographer’s Light
Sometimes, when you are a photographer, the universe decides to step in and give you a hand. This afternoon, the sky was clear, the trees turning a vibrant green, it was early evening, photographer’s light, the setting sun showering the farm in soft and indirect light, the kind the camera loves. I had the right camera, the right lens, and the animals co-operating, they are already so comfortable with my camera, I can move among them quietly and easily. I had a sweet time and am putting up an album on Facebook.
Flo In The Birdbath: The Essence Of Cat
I looked up to see that Flo had commandeered the empty birdbath, Flo sometimes seems to me the essence of cat, she goes where she wants, reigns over a growing territory, she lounges in the sun with great regal bearing and dignity.
Minnie, Meet Jake
Minnie came into the pasture to follow Maria and I and Jake decided to come over and introduce himself. Minnie got wide-eyed and waited until he got about six inches away, and then she moved over a few feet, but she didn’t run away or go far. Minnie is everybody’s pal and I imagine they will soon be sunning themselves together.
Windowsill Gallery: Dahlia In An Old Bottle
I took a Dahlia given us as a gift and put one in my old bottle on the windowsill (I am still doing some amateur curating, the former girlfriend is not yet back in total control), I was surprised by it.
