We stopped by Ken and Eli Norman’s farm, Thornwood Farm this morning to see a foal born in the middle of the night, Gina delivered her foal all by herself, she was dry and clean and strong by sunrise. Ken is our farrier and friend, he and Eli take care of horses and rescue them. Ken is also a strong supporter of Joshua Rockwood, a young farmer arrested in Glenville, N.Y. on what Ken so eloquently called “Bullshit Misdemeanors.” I will meet him tomorrow morning at Glenville Town Court, at 10 a.m.,  we are going to see the next phase of Joshua’s ordeal at the hands of the new and secret animal police.

Ken and Eli knew Gina was carrying, but expected the birth to come a little later. Gina took care of things.
