Beth Heffern is a friend who lives not too far from the farm, she is shy, quiet, thoughtful, viscerally loving. I caught these things in her face when she was rapt listening to Mary Kellogg read one of her poems. It is special to capture the sense of a person. I was happy to take this photo of Beth, she always has her camera ready, sometimes I have mine.
