Last Fall, we bought some of Ed Gulley’s great and colorful wooden flowers to put in the garden over the winter. The flowers faded (I told Ed I’d be happy to show him how it’s done but he told me to stuff it and he is big as a bear, and just as grumpy) and I have been allowed by the Art Master to paint them – she did most of the priming. Picking out some colors and I’ll paint them when the primer dries. They are great.

Daily Video: Tale Of Two Dogs: A Morning Tableau At Bedlam Farm

In the morning, a tableau of two dogs, Red, the calm, poised watchful professional and Fate, the exuberant puppy, all about the joy of movement. Sometimes I ask her to stop and move towards the sheep, sometimes I let her run. This morning, I thought I would just capture the feeling of these two wonderful but very different creatures. Red would never think of moving without being asked, Fate would never think of stopping without being asked.
