The wood stoves are quiet now, they will be still until October. The wood is being delivered, being stacked, drying out. The stoves burn day and night in the winter, the heat is even, comfortable, our two stoves heat the house, we are grateful. In the late afternoon, the light from the windows touches the living room stove, and it is here that the cold and the warm meet up with one another. Ghostly, but also beautiful.
