One of Red’s many great qualities as a therapy dog is that he loves people, and he loves attention. And the people at the Mansion are mostly  all dog and animal lovers, they love to give him attention. He was in bliss when one of the residents started scratching his belly.

It was good to have Red there today. I have been working as a volunteer at the Mansion for a year or so, and have had so many good days. But this was a hard day, it helped me to appreciate the lives of the residents and the hard and draining work of the staff.

I’ll write more about it later tonight, I need to think about it.
