Encouragement is important. Send your signal to the world.

“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.”

Hospice Journal: Izzy, Marion. Re-United

November 1, 2008 – Raining, cold. Izzy and Marion were re-united today after an absence of a few weeks due to the book tour. “Izzy, where have you been?,” Marion asked, very happy to see him. “I’ve missed you everyday. I thought you were never coming back.” The two had a sweet re-union, complete with hugs, chats, biscuits and stories. I was happy to see a portrait of Marion hanging in her room. She said she didn’t recognize it when she saw it, not as herself. We are making plans to spend some Thanksgiving time together.
Marion looked good. She had been saving up treats and stories for Izzy and wanted to know if she could give him a donut. I said I thought not.
“And I missed you, too,” she said. She can’t remember my name after an absence, and calls me Izzy’s “master,” which is a proud term. “When are you coming back?” she said. “I hope it isn’t as long as the last time.” It won’t be, I promised.

Lady Lenore, waiting for me on the path
