Rose pays no more attention to snow than she does to rain or ice. She gets it done, any time of day, all kinds of weather. Today she held the sheep while I got some grain from the barn. Not easy to hold sheep away from grain. They pay attention to Rose, even in the snow.

Smile. The Love Dog loves a good storm

December 19, 2008 – Nasty stuff, but not for Lenore. She loves the snow, as she loves life itself, and most of the people and creatures in the world. She is a happy thing to see in a storm. Power still on, and satellite still up. Camera is drying out, fingers are thawing, the sheep are fed, Winston is hanging on.

Winston, ready for the big storm

December 19, 2008 – Huge storm coming tonight, 8 to 12 inches, maybe more. Rearranged the barn with Annie. Moved Winston to the chicken room. I think I’ll put the donkeys in this afternoon, although they won’t like it. Nother storm coming Sunday. I have to say, the cows would have been a nightmare in this, as their feeding area was nearly impassable from manure, wet hay and mud. Selling the tractor. Without the cows, no need for it. Winston is very feeble moving unsteadily. His time is near.
