I’m eager to write a children’s book about barn cats,and their oddly loving and murderous ways. They live by their wits, dodging the elements, coyotes, foxes. They are very attached to me, and to Maria, yet the most independent creatures I know. Minnie loves me and flirts with me all the the time, in her own way and from a safe distance. I am getting to know and love her. Barn cats are mysterious and wonderful creatures.

June 12, 2009 – Getting ready for a rainy, sticky weekend. Hope to go up into the Adirondacks with Maria Saturday to see some quilts. Thinking about meditation and how it works.
