Rose, waiting for me

  July 11, 2009 – Went to Saratoga today with Maria to show and sell quilts, photos. Didn’t sell any, but had a great time, and thanks much to the many people who came to see us. Blog power. We were windblown, and had trouble figuring out how to setup and show our stuff. We will be in better shape for Poultney, August 8, and the arts fair there. (It’s in East Poultney.) Lenore is coming.
  I’m torn, because lots of people said they wanted to buy smaller photos of the animals and the farm, but I like the more idiosyncratic photos of cows, flowers and farmscapes.
  Perhaps I should print out some smaller ones. I could see that people don’t have extra cash to throw around. I was touched by the camaraderie and support among the other artists, many of whom are also struggling. More later. Taking Maria’s mom out to dinner. Dark and stormy night. I love this weather.
