Chasing Sunsets with Izzy. On Callaway Road

I have a lot of history on Callaway Road, as I do on Kinney Road, both in Argyle. Places like this are a good way to measure life. My daughter Emma took a picture of me on Callaway Road, which is in “Soul Of A Dog,” and I was there with Maria tonight. Izzy has always come, and he lies in the grass, or sometimes, in the road. You can see a car or truck coming from a long way off on Kinney Road, and we all stood silently and watched the sun set over the Adirondacks, in the distance. I prize such moments. They are the memories of life.

Brighten Your Day. And Mine

The farm is up for sale (Ginny Tremblay from Alan Brown Realty in Greenwich asked if I could measure the house. How, I wondered do you do that? Measuring tape she said.) I have had some easy pickings photo wise, with the sheep and donkeys right in my back yard.
I have have dogs and cats to photograph, but I am also excited about the new possibilities for me. I want to get more into nature photography, and also portraits, farmscapes and landscapes. The challenge will be exciting, and I want to take more, not fewer, photos.
Worms and Books

When I first moved to the farm, I put a sign on the porch that said “worms.” So many people came by to buy worms that I had to take it down. So I put up a sign that said “Books.” And nobody has come by.
