Went to Greenwich, N.Y. to drop my photos off for the Washington County Fair photo competition. Got four entered, one was disqualified because I messed up the application form. Still, four is a goodly number. I am insanely competitive, and Maria says this is one part of me she does not like, but I can’t really help it. I like winning. Still, the competition is rugged. Saw some great photos up against me, and if I don’t wish them well, I do respect them and the people who took them.
  I’ll go back tomorrow to get some photos of the set-up before the Fair, a great agricultural country fair, opens Monday. I am on book tour but will be popping in and out to take photos and hopefully, to snare some ribbons.
