    September 14, 2009 – Heading out on another passage, this one on the other end of the country. This butterfly landed on a leaf right in front of my camera this morning, and if you believe in that sort of thing, an omen. I slept very well last night, the longest in quite awhile, without the benefit of any pills, remedies, aids, mantras or tools. Good for me. One step at a time. I am getting there.
   I will miss my beautiful Maria, my wonderful dogs, this beautiful farm, the work I am on fire to do, but I am glad I am toting my camera along, as that is a part of me too. I have come a long ways. I have a long ways to go. Isn’t that the story of all of us, along on this great ride, joining in the dance. I can’t wait to go. I can’t wait to come back.
  How blessed I am to have so many wonderful things to miss. See you out West, and thanks for everything.
