Minnie, flirting with me
So I’m having a second fine art photo show, dont’cha know, this time at the Redux Art Gallery in Dorset, Vt., on January 10, 2010. The theme of the show is “Portraits of My Life,” and I will at the Redux with Izzy and Lenore to talk about my photography and show some of the portraits that have told the story of my life over the past few years – dogs, cats, cows, donkeys, sheep, and whatever else we decide to show at Redux’s new gallery in the middle on Route 30 in Dorset (details to come.)
These photos will be for sale, but we will try and do it as cheaply as we can.
I’m excited. I’m having a second photo show at LARAC (Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council) in August of next year, the “Last Days of A Dairy Farm” photos posted on the blog earlier this year from John Clark’s farm.
I am truly humbled to have two shows of my photos coming up, and excited. I have always been reluctant to sell dog photos, but I feel now that I am approaching them as portraits, I’m more comfortable with it. Don’t know exactly why, perhaps ego.
Christine Nemec and I are going to meet in a couple of weeks to pick out the portraits and I’ve already begun scrolling through my many thousands of photos to look for some.
