Okay, so I’m a little late, having gotten caught up in taking photos. I have the new P.D. James, which I will start once I finish the very good new Clint Eastwood biography – that is, to me, an inspiring life, and a fascinating one. Now I will pick up and disconnect from technolgy for a bit turning off computer and cell and phone and reading and talking. Dogs know how to rest. We don’t.

Went over to the Studio Barn to bring Maria some tea and she was listening to a Bob Dylan CD, Frieda snoring and grumbling on the floor, the wood stove roaring. She was at the sewing machine cranking out the first of 17 new potholders. So I got obsessed with the show on the sewing machine and took a couple of photos. Magical world.
Joy! Lenore Finds A Mudhole

Aside from food, nothing gives Lenore more joy than coming across a mudhole in the woods. She jumps in it, rolls in it, sticks her nose in it foraging for something revolting to eat. Maybe, with some luck, she can throw it up later in the house. At least she’ll be muddy, messy and wet, and eager to come close to me and shake, and share her discovery. Lenore loves life.
