Silence
silence followed me on the walk today
to watch the brook
moving in concentrated rhythm
snow strangling its voice
there is silence in anger
a silence you feel
deep within
it crouches sucking the air
silence of waiting
a soldier waits for dawn
with empty silence of fear
silence of love and knowing
our need not speak
eyes bond the thoughts
slience of death
lungs are empty
the brooding monster leaves
vacuum of silence stays
silence of peace
slips into the arena of life
gutting the rivers of hate
silence of time
perpertuity
silently slipping into the next day
or blackness of night
