Flo Myrick, who brought me Izzy and Emma, came today to begin painting the dairy barn (re-sided last year) and the carriage barn across the street. The dairy barn will be painted a transparent red, so that the grain of the wood will show through and the carriage barn will be painted a deep and dark red, a classic color for barns built in the 1800’s. Big day in the life of a farm. It will take weeks.
