 Cool. Sunny. Mother the Murderous Barn Cat likes to come by and say hello in the morning, while Minnie, her partner in crime in the barn, rarely gets close to humans and goes on on week-long toots in the country.  Mother left me some eviscerated dead thing, as she often does, but this time, came up demanding more attention.
  She came right up to the camera and posed. Rare for her to pose like that. Got up early to water the cows, and walk the dogs. Hoping to do some more work on my next book before the tour cranks up again. Annie came by to say hello and am grateful for her. We went over the days’ issues: charger for the cow fence is funky, fuse box in the barn isn’t working, two round bales need to be covered, holes in the back yard need to be filled in. I love these morning chats, and feel like George Washington touring Mt. Vernon. Yes, I know it’s not the same.
  Moved the sheep from across the road to rotational graze, and eat down the grass in the back. We checked Jesus for what looked like an infection, but what turned out to be knotted hair. Got some interviews this morning. Full day of book stuff tomorrow, including appearance on “Dog Talk” show with Joe Donahue, a great pal.
