Hubbard Hall on Main Street in Cambridge, N.Y. is used for readings, concerts and plays. It is a beautifully restored Opera House, and the focal point of the renaissance changing Cambridge and parts of Washington County, N.Y. It is also where I have been blessed to give book readings for nearly 10 years and there cannot be a better place in the world to read from a book and talk with a loving, intelligent and  attentive audience. I had a great reading for “Dog Days” there last night, and I thank Hubbard Hall, Margaret Waterson of Battenkill Books and Kay Crank for another wonderful night. More than 60 people braved storms and rain to come talk about dogs and rural life. Every writer should be so lucky. Below, Margaret and Izzy get ready for the reading.
