August 19, 2007 – Cool, cloudy, sweatshirt weather. We have begun giving the cows hay each morning to supplement the pasture, which is looking tired and worn out. The cows are having to work hard to eat, so we are helping them out. By October, they will be getting round bales. Signs of fall are everywhere.
