October 7, 2007 – Might to camping tomorrow, need to get away for a day or so, but things are heating up with the Art Harvest and I also need to get to work on my next book. Lenore has settled in well, and I think I have won the Battle of The Crate, as she went in with just a murmur, and has been quiet for an hour or so. Gave her a good workout today, and I believe she might just be housebroken already. I feed her in the crate, then walk her right after and this seems to be paying off. She’s a sweetheart and I had her in my study today, which she settled right into, in the best tradition of working dogs like Labs. I might take her camping, if I can get somebody to help me haul all the stuff in, even for one day. Signed my photos for Art Harvest, which was exciting. I took another picture in my Border Collies in The Woods series, which like a lot, as it seems to evoke some element of spirituality with the dogs and the light.
