January 17, 2008 – Bitter cold, snow and ice storm later tonight. This is turning out to be the second worst winter since I got the farm, but I am much better prepared. No more crawling across the back drive to get hoses out to the barn. The animals all seem unaware of it, except for the chickens who hug the heat lamps in the barn. I’ve offered the barn cats a chance to come inside, but they are having none of it.
