March 6, 2008 – Strong, clear, early sun. Love the longer days. The farm is still snow and ice bound and we are all struggling to get out of winter. Annie has some sort of flu and is going to the doctor – rare. Snow and ice make walking difficult. I am eager for calm, quiet, more meditation, less running around. But doing a fair amount of it, still. To Albany today for “Dog Talk” with Joe Donahue and we will, I am sure be talking about this question of what animals think. I wonder how the Spring will affect my photography. I am eager to start work on my next book, which is about Rose and also the souls of animals and dogs. Hope to get Helen, a Hospice patient, outside to smell her garden when it warms up. Poor Paula loves Spring on the farm best.
