March 8, 2008 – Cold, raining heavily. Flood warnings, but much of the ice and snow is melting away. I just went out and put some bullet holes in the trash barrel to let the water and ice out. Haven’t used the rifle in a long time, since the rabid raccoon went after Rose. I am uncomfortable around guns, but my views have changed since coming to the farm. Nobody is taking my .22 away. Poor Paula is steaming North through the rain. I might get an acupuncture treatment today, but I would have to take my shoes and socks off, and I’m not sure about that.
