March 9, 2008 – Walking this afternoon with Paula and the dogs, and Paula turned to me and said “hey, green stuff – Spring!” Given that it was 12 degrees and brutally cold and window, and that we were walking on solid ice, this was welcome news and I quickly turned and got a photo before my ears froze and cracked off. This is proof, brought to you exclusively and here, that Spring has erupted, as these two brave leaves, or whatever they are, popped up through the ice. Yes, Virginia, there is a Spring, and it is coming and I have proof.
