Lenore, the Love Dog,  brings sunshine and light into the world by existing – no small feat.

March 17, 2008 – Sunny, cold. Izzy and Lenore and I are heading off to the Adirondacks for a Hospice call, and this week is stuffed with appointments, meetings, plans.
  Next week I am beginning work on my next book and will have to settle down, focus, clear the decks, write and write. I’m excited about that. I have all sorts of plans for expanding the photography as well, but I’m a writer, first and foremost and need to get my head clear and ready to write. I have to figure out where to go with the photography. Huge part of my life now, and I don’t really know what the next level is. I want there to be one, though.
  “Izzy and Lenore: Two Dogs, An Unexpected Journey, and Me,” is done and is coming out in October. My photo is on the cover, and a dozen or so are in the book. I’m excited about that.
   I’m re-working “The Soul of A Dog,” and focusing much of it on Rose and her work on the farm. That’s the book I’m starting on next week, both to be published by Random House.
  As for Bedlam Farm Books, we are finishing up Mary Kellogg’s “My Places on Earth,” and then trying to finish “Tales of Granville High.” I am thinking of making the Hospice Journal into a Bedlam Farm Book also. And we are nearly done with “Out of the Shadows”, a personal account of the emotional roller coaster that last Fall turned into. I’m feeling much better, in so many ways, and still dealing with a shadow here and there.
