Maria has some new materials and made a couple of cat potholders. I love this one. Yesterday we took some of her potholders to the  Rock Hill Bakehouse in Glens Falls, N.Y. She is still taking orders for her $9 potholders for Christmas.

  There is a hunting drama underway in Bedlam, and the road is filled with State Police and DEC conservation and state wildlife agents. Two deer have been shot in the woods across from the farmhouse, and there was allegedly dispute between a hunter and someone out in the woods involving lots of gunshots. Nobody was hurt, but there is a lot of activity. I don’t know what happened. Dogs are in lockdown, police are questioning neighbors. I’m making lunch. Life in the country. This stuff doesn’t happen in New Jersey.
