It’s hard to gauge the history of this old pot, which was dug up around the Big Barn a few years ago, and then I tripped over it. It’s old, and may have been thrown out and buried by one of the farm families who lived here. I adopted it, and it serves as the wood stove humidifier, and dignified purpose for a venerable old pot, especially when the afternoon light hits it.
