Florence’s family left us a pair of one her blue shoes – she loved blue glass. Maria found it and put a flower in it, from a hanging plant we bought at Gardenworks. I believe the spirits of these two women are connected, Florence’s and Maria’s. Maria leaves things like this everywhere, and she does it because she is an artist and that is what she does, and she does it because she loves me and knows I will find them, and go “look at that!” and go grab my camera and spend the next ten minutes lose in this part of me I never even knew existed until her great love came and opened my heart like a can of beans that keep spilling and spilling. This is one of the ways we talk to each other, these messages.

My life can be nothing but full and wonderful with this great spirit, this great heart in my life. And I felt from the first that Florence and Maria are connected in some way, each a part of the other in some way. And her it is, right in front of me, exactly what I meant. Florence and Maria. Two great spirits. And my heart.
