Monday, getting focused on the week, getting set, doing business, starting something new, a mile-long or longer walk in the morning. Walking has always been my favorite exercise, and since it isn’t 100 degrees or sticky, I’ve got my Tilley hat and stick and am out.

Some business. Later week, bedlamfarm.com will go mobile for those with smartphones, you will automatically receive a smart-phone friendly tablet that is more easily navigable and graphically enhanced for thumb pushing. Changes like this are expensive, but a good change and more and more people are accessing blogs on smart phones and tablets. You don’t have to do anything, it will happen automatically. Also, Wednesday morning, an increasingly popular thing on my Facebook page, you can ask Fromm Family Food nutritionists anything you want about nutrition for your dogs and cats and if they can, they will answer the same day. This will be on my Facebook page, I will post a topic around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. This has already taken off a reliable place to get questions answered about dog food, your dog’s health and nutrition.

Two weeks ago, for those of who you may have missed it,  I introduced a $3 monthly subscription plan to go along with the $5 monthly option and the $60 annual subscription option. It has been successful, a number of people have said this makes it possible for them to pay for the blog, and I thank them. To date, all subscriptions are done through Paypal, they can be cancelled anytime. They pay me for my work and help make the blog, the Open Group, the photos, podcasts, writing and photography possible. I appreciate them, it is wonderful and affirming to be paid for my work.

The $3 option was added because a great many people wanted to contribute but felt some financial pressure. They are very welcome here. The blog is free to those who cannot afford to pay for it and will remain so for the foreseeable future. I am exploring adding some credit card payment options for those people who do not use Paypal. I am no longer seeking or accepting contributions, donations or one-time payments. The blog is not a charity and I am not a noble cause, I only wish to be paid for what I do, not for my life. No one should subscribe because this is a cause – it is not – only if the work is informative, uplifting or entertaining. I’ve figured it out, this is straightforward, as was always the case for magazines or newspapers and books. This blog is, in some ways, the new magazine, a new kind of book. It is my living book.

I am constantly working to improve bedlamfarm.com, and thanks for subscribing.
