For The Mansion Refugees

by Jon Katz

I’ve got some special gifts to bring over to the Mansion Refugees staying at the Danforth Adult Care Center in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. until the end of the week, when they are scheduled to begin returning to the Mansion.

These have several purposes. One is to cheer people up, the other is to keep them warm. It’s cold around here.

I tried bringing them today, but everybody was sleeping or out to church. On the left is a new wristwatch for Art, who old watch – he bought it in Montana and has had it for years – died out. I tested this one today, the batter is working and it’s seems like a great watch.

The hats are going to be offered to Sylvia, Alice, Jean, and one or two of the men staying at the Danforth. I think Sylvie will love the two hats on the left, she might also like my “Shaman” hat. I think Jean needs the red ones, but I’ll know for sure on Tuesday, after we get back from Maria’s birthday trip.

Thanks for your support for the Mansion residents. Next week, we are planning Homecoming Celebration Party next week with Chinese Food and some music.

If you wish to support the residents at this time, your help will be welcome. You can contribute via Paypal, [email protected] or by check, Jon Katz, Mansion Fund, P.O. Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y. 12816. Thanks much.
