Please Share Your Dogs With Me, 2.0

by Jon Katz

Yesterday, I asked people to share their dogs with me, and I got more than 550 responses, a dazzling array of dog photos and expressions. People love this idea, and I get it, I’m going to do it at least once a week, perhaps more.

The response was so great that I decided to do it weekly, and again today. People just love sharing images of their dogs, and I admit I loved seeing them.

The responses were mostly on Facebook and on my blog posts. Sorry, but e-mailing me the photos doesn’t work, I can’t possibly post each one and do my work, and I get way too many e-mails as is.

You can post on the blog comments or on Facebook,  the Jon Katz page. I’m sorry but I can’t offer you any other good options. I took this photo of Bud, Red and Fate waiting at the door for me to give them the signal that they can go out. They love going out.

I found it fascinating to scroll through all of the dog images, the range of dogs is astounding, and people’s love for their dogs is profound.

So let’s do it again tonight. We’ve started something pretty swell. I began with these three, let’s get a look at  yours. You can get to my Facebook page here.

The only criteria is that the image is of a dog you love. This will be a lovefest, top to bottom.

  1. Most days, I know I would LOVE to own a dog again. Then reality sets in when I think back to the very long winter we just had with all its horrible ice, snow and freezing temperatures! Picturing me trying to walk the pooch in that kind of weather is too terrifying…for me and the dog!

    1. Hey Fran-I have a small Pomeranian-and I litter box trained her!! No going out in the below zero temps! It was super easy and I had her trained within a week. I totally get why you don’t want to be walking a dog in the nasty weather!

  3. I have 2 young, energetic dogs I love so much. I tried posting their pictures but couldn’t get it to work. Escher is a 18month old border collie/Jack Russell mix and Corina is a 4 month old red heeler/lab mix. They bring a lot of joy to me and my husband everyday. Can’t wait for my grandkids and son to meet Corina this summer!
