Main Street, 7 P.M.

by Jon Katz

We went to an early 5 p.m. jazz concert to see the Hot Club band from Saratoga Springs, the concert was great and afterward, we walked on Main Street to get to our car. Our Main Street is iconic, still vital and evocative of the 1800s when most of it was built.

We were at the Round House Cafe, just next to Hubbard Hall, our beautiful arts and education center. I love Main Street at night.

I tried my iPhone 11 Night Vision feature and I was pleased that the image caught the feeling of the street.

  1. Main Street MAIN STREET Cambridge NY Home of Battenkill Books, Ginofar Gallery, Roundhouse Cafe, Hubbard Hall – what else is on Main Street??????? So beautiful on a winter night.

When I go to Disneyland (HA! last trip was 50 years ago) — i think- i run to MAIN Street with the horse drawn carriage and the Old Time General Store where you can “listen in” to a 1908 phone conversation.
