When Birdseed Matters

by Jon Katz

When there are snow and ice on the ground for days or weeks, birdseed and suet really matters. The birds flock outside of Maria’s studio window all day. The chickens and dogs scavenge the seed that isn’t eaten when it falls to the ground.
