The Friday Fiber Art report. Maria just posted the last five Hand Painted Hanky Scarves on her Etsy Page. She is selling them only on Etsy for $70 plus $5 shipping. One of them is above, and the others are below, stretched out on the ironing board. As you know, these vintage hanky scarves, all made by Maria, have been selling out.
Maria loved making these scarves, and it shows. When I went outside, I could hear her singing as she sat on the floor and painted each one, and then patched them together. My guess is these won’t last too long. Below, is a sneak peek into the future (possibly).
These are the last scarves she plans on making for a while. You can follow her blog here and see the scarves and buy them here.
Below, is a coming attraction I think. Maria is quite guarded about her future plans, but I did see this sketch of our sheep Robin, and Maria said she was mulling making some Robin sheep potholders. She could easily change her mind and make something else, but I loved the sketch.
Robin’s face as drawn by Maria, soon to be a potholder, maybe.
That sheep needs to be the main character in a book. Her face exudes sweetness mixed with mischief..
