Welcoming Some Newcomers To My Garden Bed. A New Iris Flower, A Graceful Columbine Plant

by Jon Katz

Welcome to two beautiful new flowers – a new Iris has bloomed, and I bought a beautiful Columbine planting from Anne at Hickory Wind Farm. After I post this, I’m holing up to read and meditate.

In the morning, I will be fitted for a new brace that will hopefully end my left foot’s long and sometimes troubled fate.

Tonight, I’m determined to do some reading; I’m falling behind. We had a wild, fun, and continuously busy weekend. This was a jarring contrast to the quiet and anxious weekends of the past month. I felt like a slug.

My raised garden beds look beautiful. All sorts of flowers are sticking their heads up out of the soil. Come along and meet the new ones.

My Iris plant has moved to Maria’s garden; I have visiting hours.

I love the color here.

This is a Leica photo, the camera loves this sprawl and delicacy.
