Happy Thanksgiving: First Day Of Snow, Bedlam Farm.

by Jon Katz

Maria is doing great after her dental surgery; we are staying at home cooking a half/chicken with some roasted Kale and fruit for Thanksgiving Dinner. We are not in connection with our families, so we, the dogs and the animals, know just when to get into the Pole Barn. We saw Zip this morning, but he’s retreated – we think – to the blankets in the Wood Shed or his favorite night place; some hay stays in the cozy hay part of the upper barn.

He loves it up there; he’s warm and happy. It’s beautiful here. I went outside to catch the first snow, now sticking to the cars and the ground. I’m hoping for a two-hour meditation this afternoon and then some flower photos.

Later.

The donkeys always occupy the same spot in the barn when it snows.

No matter the weather, it’s beautiful.
