Love And Empathy Live: Come See What You Did This Week: Today, Sarah Asks For Herbal Tea And Coffee, Urgent Item: Ketchup

by Jon Katz

Above: Thanks for the truckload of Mandarin Oranges; the shelves are full. You’ve done so much for the Food Pantry and those who need it. You are warriors for good, community, and empathy. Don’t let anyone tell you we are not a good and caring people.

Today: Sarah Needs Herbal Tea And Coffee, an urgent item, Ketchup. I call tea and coffee mercy food.

Thanks for answering the call for sliced peaches, a healthy and popular fruit (above.) The peaches are still pouring in.

My AI Research: Herbal tea can be beneficial for calming and health. Many herbal teas contain calming and anti-inflammatory compounds that can help with stress, anxiety, and sleep. For example, chamomile and valerian roots promote sleep and reduce stress, while peppermint tea may aid digestion and calm the nervous system.

Poverty is stressful, and hunger and fear are especially so. Herbal tea is not a simple thing for entertaining; it is essential to men and women who struggle to pay for the food they need. Tea is one of those sacrifices many families make to feed their children. We are helping to ensure they can begin the day in a calming and healthy way.

This isn’t just a pleasantry. It matters. Thanks for helping.

The  Amazon Cambridge Pantry Urgent Wish List is accessible anytime, day or night. Click on the links here or use the green button at the bottom of every blog post. Every item on the wish list is urgent and updated several times daily.  Some people are adopting favored items and sending them when they can. Thanks for the messages; the pantry volunteers greatly appreciate them.

Thanks for the dental pastes, shampoo, juices, soups, canned fruit,  tampons, and pads. You have dramatically improved the lives of people struggling to feed their families and care for their children. Right now, we are helping with juices.

It’s a beautiful thing to help people with nowhere else to go.  It has never been more needed; thanks for helping protect love.  Helping the pantry gives significant meaning to me and, clearly, to you. Perhaps we can do the same with tea and coffee.

Thanks again.
