“Poly grip and Spaghetti and meatballs are not available through the Regional Food Bank,” reports Pantry Director Sarah. “We wouldn’t have either without the Army of Good.”
Without you, Pantry customers report that they cannot use their dentures, and find them uncomfortable, and that this affects eating, speaking, and smiling. Poligrip makes it possible to wear dentures; otherwise, they have to sacrifice them for food.No other Pantry I know of supplies them. Sarah heard about this and acted to help.
Increasingly, this is true of many of the items we are purchasing. Food Pantries are always struggling, but more so than ever now. The Pantry can’t afford to buy these foods either. We are the exclusive supplier of many healthy foods. Thanks.
In the interests of clarity and openness, Sarah wrote this message to me today: “Nearly all of the items on the Amazon Wish List we are unable to get from any other source. Our clients notice the difference between our Pantry and others, and they are grateful.”
Just yesterday, she said, a woman moved to Cambridge, was unemployed, was in a new apartment, and knew no one in town.
She came to the Pantry for help and was surprised and delighted to see the range and availability of the items, most from the AOG.
“They all have their own challenges,” she said, “but they all appreciate the help they received.” She wanted you all to know that. So do I.
