This was a very long and difficult winter, by any standards, but it’s over! Can I get a huge cheer? Funny thing about the weather here. Winter was last week, and this week we have thunderstorms and lots of rain! I’ll take it any day over snow and icy roads.

My favorite event of the year is the student presentation of the living stations of the cross. It’s a senior thing, and I love these seniors so much. I bake for them every Sunday.

If you are a Christian, it’s a reenactment of the last days of Jesus on Earth. As a small child, I remember crying as they read the passion. I just couldn’t understand why any humans would do such things to someone who only wanted to spread love. There seems to be a lot of that in the world right now. The kids do such a lovely job. People have different beliefs, and that’s awesome.

All good paths lead to the same place in the end. Kindness is what matters. All of you are so very kind, and I thank you from each one of us.

Photography snuck outside between the raindrops for some chalk and shadow pictures. I love to get them outside with cameras! They love it too. They are as itchy for outdoor fun as we are! I love the ice cream cone shadow photo!

Scarlett has been sewing! She made a small bag to match the larger one she made earlier. I will miss them terribly when they go home, but I am sure we will stay in touch!

Ari finished her lantern painting! She’s headed to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for architecture studies next year. It’s a difficult program, and I’m proud of her!  She worked hard on her portfolio this year.

The kids are painting murals all over the school! Photos to follow!

We are on break next week.

I have jury duty…….. No prosecution team wants me. I will look for a second chance for everyone. I’ll let you know how it works out.

Alexis, whom I taught at Maginn years ago, offered us a table and chairs. The kids are so excited to refinish the set. It’s also great seating for the room!

Regina sent us the most wonderful box of rubber stamps! We have been playing with them all week and plan to do some designs when we get back from vacation. Thank you, Regina!

Bonnie sent gift cards for hams. Not just hams, but the nicest in the area. Two of my families will have an extra special dinner this year! That is so kind! Thank you, Bonnie!
