Message: “Thank you all for all you do and for restoring our faith in human goodness,” from Yvonne Fish-Kalland, Army of Good.

Very few food pantries in America offer items for health and dental care. These items can eat away at the money these families can raise, and neither the food banks nor the Patry can afford to buy them now, if ever.
Today’s request from Sarah shows how hard the Pantry works to find out what the customers really want and need, and can’t afford to buy. I call them Exclusive items.
This is enormously important to the families, and they say again and again that the Army of Good is a blessing and a miracle. They are exclusive to the Army of Good. Thank you all for that.

The Pantry. Elderly, thank you for helping them chew and smile without shame. The families thank you for soap and toothpaste as well. Without you, they might not be able to purchase them.

I love this painting by a Vermont artist that I bought recently. It is a bright and touching seal of the joy of giving, rather than just receiving. It’s a great symbol of the Army of Good.
There is a profound sense of fulfillment that comes from helping others without expecting a return. Almost every day, someone from the Army of Good sends a message thanking me for the opportunity to help people in need.
They have helped keep the Pantry serving its people well and kept the good alive at a troubled time for the country.
Thanks for finding your joy every single day.

Our community is experiencing the same thing. Our church has a blessing box station (similar to the library boxes but bigger)that we normally fill with non perishable foods, we have built a second box for personal health and hygiene products that people can no longer afford to buy. I know good things like this are going on all over our country as we all try to help our neighbors. It definitely gives me hope that love and kindness are still alive and well! Thank you for all of your wonderful pictures and words of wisdom and encouragement!
