Pastoral morning, a night of rain, lightning, and wind. But here we are, the robins are out, searching for nests. I hope they don’t choose the top of St. Jo’s head. Robins are a flag holder for Spring. We are having nasty nights and chilly days with sun. I have no word yet on my camera, which is in some safe place in New Jersey awaiting some repair, a casualty, I think, of too many mornings out working during a frigid summer. It was 90 degrees yesterday, chilly today. My fingers still hurt sometimes as well. I strained a tendon in my right leg, so I’ve been ordered to take it easy.

Above photo, the cat that loves to meditate.
This is his home, too; this is his story.
In Spring, we open the basement doors to let air in. Zip loves to go down there and hunt for rats and mice. We leave the doors open for him during the day.
