This metal Goose is one of our favorite pieces made by Ed Gulley, a dear friend, a devoted farmer, and a budding artist. The Goose was one of the last things Ed made before he died of brain cancer. In the winter, it keeps falling over; in the spring, we set it straight.
I miss imagining him lecturing the angels on the cost of milk. He is not someone to forget, but he is someone I miss.
Ed didn’t build his pieces to last long; his attention span was about as long as mine. But the Goose is something I look for whenever I drive in or out of the driveway. Bless you, Ed. Sell that milk.
