We can’t really complain. So many parts of America are suffering from drought, but we are getting rain almost every day. It drives farmers crazy because they can’t harvest hay or dig up vegetables. The rain is mixed with sunny days, typical for winter in this area. We won’t be out much today – a 50 percent  Sabbath day for me. I’ll be back for some flower photos tonight (inside, I think) and some very rewarding reading of Elizabeth Strout’s new book “Tell Me Everthing.” Halfway through, it’s wonderful.
It has a peaceful gloom. (I knew the day would be gloomy when I looked at the light coming through. Couldn’t resist a still life like that.)
Zinnia is the gentlest, kindest, and most patient dog I’ve had. She always waits for me at the door when I go out.
Bud does not like rain or cold weather. This morning, the sun popped out just before another pour, good for the grass, not good for Bud. He loves that spot in the morning when the sun comes out.
